The team at Westvic Staffing Solutions is saddened with the news of the passing of friend and colleague Greg Baker.

Greg was a dedicated, much loved and valued member of the Westvic Staffing Solutions Colac team.  He served as group training field officer for almost 10 years, operating also as office manager for many years.

Greg passed away late Thursday night at Geelong hospital, surrounded by his very supportive and loving family and listening to his favourite music.

For the past 12 months Greg had been suffering ill health but returned to work on many occasions to soldier on supporting his apprentices, trainees and host employers.

Staff members at Westvic, while saddened by the news, are also reflecting on the humorous and happy times shared with Greg over the years.  A couple of Greg's regular sayings were "Happy Days", and when negotiating a GTO signup would sometimes come back to Operations Manager Wayne Robertson with "Is there any chance we can sharpen the pencil a little Wayne?"

Former work colleague David Edgar remarks that Greggie in many ways was larger than life and saw the funny side of life more often than not.  His zest and energy were contagious.

The thoughts of Westvic staff are with Greg's family, friends and work colleagues.
