Westvic Foundation community support program

Westvic Staffing Solutions is a not for profit community based organisation. Through the establishment of the Westvic Foundation Community Support Program we are committed to supporting the western district community not only through expansion in the delivery of employment and training services but also through direct financial contribution.

We view requests for support which enhance the quality of life for the people of our region by enabling our communities to instigate important social and educational initiatives as a long-term investment.

Westvic Staffing Solutions presently has a special focus on responsible drinking awareness and so projects or sponsorship requests that have elements that are aligned with this focus will be viewed favourably.

School and community organisation employability projects – Up to $30,000 will be made available to regional schools and not for profit community organisations that seek to improve the health, well being and safety of students and the community generally. Westvic Staffing Solutions presently has a special focus on responsible drinking awareness and so projects or sponsorship requests that have elements that are aligned with this focus will be viewed favourably.

School Based Apprentice Training Fees – The Westvic Foundation will continue to cover the training fees of school based apprentices who are employed through Westvic Staffing Solutions Group Training operations and who are not entitled to the Commonwealth Trade and Learning Scholarship.

Aged Care Traineeships (2011-12) – The Westvic Foundation continues to support several secondary school students undertaking Certificate II in Aged Care school-based apprenticeships. These students have been completing work placements with local aged care facilities, with the Westvic Foundation fully funding the cost of the placement over a two year period.

VET Excellence Awards –The Westvic Foundation will continue to support schools and students through end-of-year VET excellence awards. One $250 award for the best VET student will be available for each of the 25 schools in the region.
