A Colac district dairy farmer says a traineeship program for budding farmers is an ideal entry into the industry.
WestVic Dairy designed the In2Dairy program to address staff shortages on south-west Victorian dairy farms and provide a pathway for people who want a career in dairying.
The program involves trainees doing 10 days of non-accredited training from units of Certificate II in Agriculture.
