Westvic Staffing Solutions is a not for profit community based organisation. It has a commitment to support the western district community not only through expansion in the delivery of employment and training services but also through direct financial contributions to areas of employment and training need within the regional community.
In particular, Westvic Staffing Solutions has established a Youth Foundation to assist students and secondary schools in the region to further develop vocational skills and to enhance the employability of young people.
Foundation support for 2009 – 2010 Aged Care Traineeships – Schools across the region are invited to nominate students who may be interested in undertaking Certificate 2 Aged Care School Based Apprenticeships. The Westvic Staffing Solutions Group Training services will seek to locate placements with local aged care facilities and the Westvic Foundation will fully fund the cost of the placement over a two year period. Up to 12 positions will be available to commence in 2010.
Schools Employability Projects – Up to $20,000 will be made available to regional schools to help fund projects that have a special focus on assisting students to develop vocational and trade skills as well as general employability skills. This is the second year of Westvic Foundation support for employability projects.
