Group Training is a uniquely Australian approach that benefits both you and your apprentice or trainee. It provides you with the flexibility to employ full time or part time on a short or long term basis, depending on your needs.
Through our Group Training service Westvic Staffing Solutions employs the apprentice or trainee and places them with you. We take the risk of employment while your business gains both flexibility and security.
We actively work with local schools to raise the profile of apprenticeships and traineeships.
People are encouraged to register with us for future positions and they undergo an assessment process to ensure they are prepared and committed to their trade or vocation.
We use our database to find suitable candidates for you and will advertise in the local media to attract further applicants if required. You can even access a pool of partially trained apprentices and trainees through our Group Training service. Our objective is to find candidates who match your needs and present you with an interview shortlist.
Once you have selected your apprentice or trainee, Westvic Staffing Solutions will:
- Organise enrolment with a suitable Registered Training Organisation
- Provide a comprehensive induction program
- Supply appropriate personal protective equipment
- Undertake on-site assessments in consultation with you, to ensure the workplace is safe
- Pay your apprentice/trainee on your behalf
- Manage annual leave, sick leave and superannuation payments
- Provide advice on current OH&S regulations
- Visit regularly to review performance, monitor school progress and provide feedback
- Provide support and counselling
- Ensure you gain access to all available government incentives
