Welcome to Westvic Staffing Solutions. We are a not for profit community based employment and training organisation. Beginning in 1984 as group training company with a focus on building apprenticeships in Western Victoria, we have grown to provide a wide range of employment and training services to jobseekers and employers across the region.

A career change brings Tim to Westvic

A career change to get a new perspective on his working life has brought Tim Rantall to Westvic Staffing Solutions.  Having spent many years in the retail music industry, Tim joins the Westvic Group Training team as a Field Officer.  Tim has a wealth of experience in sales as well as management which will be of enormous benefit to the apprentices, trainees and host employers he will be working with.

 
Martin recognised for his achievements

Westvic apprentice Martin Sargeant was recognised as the Best First Year Apprentice - Engineering and Fabrication at Gordon TAFE's awards presentation in early May.  Martin's host employer Harry Uwland of Tasweld Engineering was at the awards ceremony to help Martin celebrate his achievement.
 
Laura in training to help others into employment

Laura Kean-Morris recently commenced part time at Westvic Staffing Solutions.  She will be working towards a Certificate IV in Employment Services qualification, after she completed Certificate III in Business with Aboriginal Affairs Victoria through Westvic's GTO.

Traineeship is career stepping stone - Colac Herald 28-4-10

A Colac student is one step closer to fulfilling her dream of nursing after securing an aged care traineeship.  Colac Secondary College Year 10 student Eden Draheim has secured a Westvic Staffing Solutions school-based traineeship in aged care at Mercy Place after an exhaustive selection process.

New shirts highlight Westvic's commitment to OH&S

Westvic apprentices working in the outdoors across south west Victoria will now be outfitted with hi-vis shirts that promote Westvic as well as complying with safe work practices.  Westvic places strong emphasis on Occupational Health and Safety for its apprentices and trainees, and conducts comprehensive inductions and regular reviews with apprentices and trainees to ensure they are implementing healthy and safe work practices.

Trade training in schools - a pathway to apprenticeships

Westvic's training division is supporting students from Brauer College and Cobden Technical School in the delivery of accredited studies in the areas of Automotive, Cabinet Making, Engineering and Building & Construction. This is just another way we support our local schools and young people in their pathway to apprenticeships.
